In this procedure the doctor would remove some parts of the cornea to reshape it into the correct shape so that the vision of the patient would improve and get better. Before the tissue would be removed, the doctor will still need to remove a flap of cornea in the eye before reshaping of the cornea can be done. The Lasek eye surgery procedure is almost the same as the Lasik eye surgery procedure, but in this procedure the tissue taken out of the cornea would be much thinner than the lasik eye surgery. The other types of laser eye surgery would also be helpful to the patient but the Lasik and the Lasek eye surgeries are the most common.
